'Rev Dr Frank Rees is the Principal of Whitley College, the Baptist College of Victoria.
After a number of years in pastoral ministry, Frank was appointed as Professor of Systematic Theology at Whitley, and later the Dean of its theological school, and from 2007 Principal. He has been a member of the MCD's Council since 2000.
Frank has a strong commitment to the provision of theological education in a range of forms and contexts, for the enrichment of the whole spectrum of the church's mission and ministry.
Frank is married to Merilyn and they have three children, all university students.

Dr Curtin is the Master of Catholic Theological College, East Melbourne, where he teaches in Systematic Theology. He is also the parish priest of St Bridget’s Parish, Greythorn. He has represented the Catholic Church on the MCD since 1998 and is one of two representatives of the Roman Catholic Church on the new MCD Council. He chaired the MCD Board of Undergraduate Studies from 2003-2005.
Terry Curtin studied Philosophy at Corpus Christi College, Werribee, Education at the University of Melbourne, and Theology in Rome, first at the Pontifical Urban University and later at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
Before coming to CTC and the MCD Terry was Head of the School of Theology (Victoria) within Australian Catholic University (1992-2002) and chaired the University’s Sub-Faculty of Theology and Philosophy Board. From 1975 he served in the State College of Victoria - Institute of Catholic Education as Head of the Religious Education Department, Mercy Campus, Ascot Vale and from 1987 as Head of the Centre for Religion and Philosophy, Christ Campus, Oakleigh. He has also taught postgraduate units in sacramental theology and theological hermeneutics at Caritas Francis Hsu College, Hong Kong.
Dr Curtin has served as President of the Forum of Australian Catholic Institutes of Theology (FACIT). He was a Critical Colleague in the recent development of core religious education documents for the Catholic Dioceses of Ballarat, Sale, and Sandhurst, and the Catholic Archdiocese of Hobart.

Dr Blackman, an experienced company director and CEO, has been an Anglican member of the College for many years and more recently has been appointed as an Anglican representative on the new MCD Council. He is Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Risk Management and Audit Committee.
He has been involved in various community activities, especially through his association with the Anglican Church both at parish and diocesan levels. In particular he has been an active member of the Archbishop in Council of the Diocese of Melbourne with special responsibilities over the past ten years as Chairman of the Diocesan Finance and Investment Committee.
Dr Blackman is Chairman of Anglicare Victoria, the State's largest child and family welfare organisation. Anglicare Victoria provides welfare support services for children, young people and families throughout Victoria. Dr Blackman is the Chairman of the National Trust Victoria and is also a member of the Board of Trinity College at the University of Melbourne. He is a member of the Trinity College Theological School Management Committee.

Dr Paul L Beirne

Dr Paul Beirne has been Dean of the Melbourne College of Divinity since April 2001. Previously, from January 2000, Dr Beirne was Associate Dean and Director of the MCD’s Advanced Ministry Studies Program.
As Dean of the Melbourne College of Divinity, Dr Beirne is the Chief Executive Officer of the College and is responsible for the educational and administrative affairs of the MCD, including management of its central administration; working in close coordination with the College Council and its Boards and Committees, as well as with the seven Recognised Teaching Institutions of the MCD; liaising with Federal and State Governments in matters relating to the MCD; and generally promoting the MCD to a wide variety of individuals and institutions.
Dr Beirne holds an MA in East Asian Studies from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, a Masters in Divinity from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, a Doctor of Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary, and a PhD from the School of History, Philosophy, Religion and Classics at the University of Queensland. Dr Beirne is currently writing a book entitled Su-un and His World of Symbols: a Study of the Founder of Tonghak, Korea’s First Indigenous Religion, scheduled for publication in January 2009 by Ashgate Publishers in Great Britain.
Dr Beirne’s academic interests relate to East Asian religions and New Religious Movements in East Asia, and in particular, the symbols immanent in these religious traditions.

Anderson Dip Teach. Grad Dip
As Registrar,
Elizabeth is responsible for the operations of the administration
of the MCD. Based at Kew, Elizabeth works with representatives
of the Recognised Teaching Institutions, in order to maintain
the cohesive community of the MCD.
Elizabeth has worked in Higher Education Institutions both in
Australia and internationally and is interested in academic management
and the systems necessary, to support the teaching and learning
of those involved.
